Alexander McQueen killed himself while high on cocaine due to desperation to die - mirror.co.uk: "Alexander McQueen committed suicide because he could not bear to be separated from his beloved mother, an inquest heard yesterday.
The fashion designer slashed his wrists with a meat cleaver and ceremonial dagger while high on cocaine and sleeping pills before hanging himself in a wardrobe on the eve of mum Joyce's funeral.
McQueen - real name Lee Alexander - left a note that read: 'Please look after my dogs. I'm sorry, I love you. Lee.'"
